A tourist named Babu Sheikh (20) died after falling from the eighth floor of a hotel in Cox’s Bazar. The incident took place on Wednesday night (November 18) at a hotel called ‘Classic Sea Resort’ in the tourist area of the city, Kalatali.
The deceased was identified as Babu Sheikh, son of Khan Chhabur from District 14 of Tangail Municipality.
Abdullah’s older brother, Abdullah Al Asif, said a group of 52 people from Tangail visited Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday and stayed at the city’s “Classic Sea Resort” hotel. Everybody stays like this in the hotel. Babu Sheikh was in room 602. Suddenly the news came that Babu Sheikh had fallen from the eighth floor. They all rescued him and rushed him to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital. The doctor in charge of the emergency department declared him dead.
Ashikur Rahman, the doctor in charge of Sadar Hospital, said he died before being taken to the hospital. Signs of injuries were found on his body. However, it is not a great sign. Details will be known after the autopsy.
The Police Officer in Charge (CO) of Cox’s Bazar Sadar model, Sheikh Munir-ul-Gias, said that police had visited the site after receiving the information. The cause and cause of death are not yet known. The hotel authorities are being questioned. The body has been kept in the morgue of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Details will be known after investigation.
