The Turkish parliament has approved a proposal to deploy troops to Azerbaijan. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has decided to send troops to Azerbaijan to monitor the implementation of the peace agreement signed between the two countries.

However, parliamentary approval was required for the deployment of troops abroad. That is why the Erdogan government proposed in parliament that the army be deployed. As expected, the proposal has been approved in Parliament.

Azerbaijan has sided with Azerbaijan since the beginning of the Nagorno-Karabakh war.

After weeks of fighting, Russia-led Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to a ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh on Tuesday. Russian troops have already been deployed to the Nagorno-Karabakh region to monitor the implementation of the agreement.

The agreement signed by the two countries establishes that Armenia will hand over the occupied territories of Agdam, Lachin and Kalbazar to Azerbaijan.

According to the agreement, Armenia will be allowed to use Lachin of Azerbaijan as a corridor for communication with the Karabakh region. In return, Armenia also promised to facilitate trade between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Nakhchivan.
