ASM Abdur Rob, chairman of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), said the government had used subterfuge to crack down on political opponents without “revealing the real truth” in incidents such as fires or gasoline bombings or deaths in transportation.

Immediately after the incident, the government brought a case against several people who accuse the opposition, which is not acceptable at all.

On the other hand, the ruling party has been trying to divert the political situation from the opposition without any evidence. The politics of playing with fire must stop in the best democratic interest of the country.

He made the remarks at a virtual rally in memory of Abdul Hai, a member of the party’s standing committee and vice chairman of the party’s central working committee.

Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan also addressed the mourning meeting. The party’s general secretary, attorney Chhanwar Hossain Talukder, former session judge and Supreme Court attorney Sakam Anisur Rahman Khan, Ms. Tania Rob, Maryland. Siraj Mia, Dr. Jabiul Hossain, Amin Uddin BSc, Dr. Shahnaz Jahan Lina, Syeda Fatema Hena, Ahsan Uddin Chowdhury Suite, Mosharraf Hossain Montu and Barrister Farah Khan among others.

ASM Rabb added that fear and uncertainty are born in the absence of a political vacuum and a democratic culture. Faced with this uncertainty, the ruling group wants to consolidate its position by capitalizing on any event or situation due to mistrust. Therefore, when a similar situation arises, they hide the real incident and proudly boast and repress the opposition. The recent political game with fire as in the past is strong proof of this. The politics of playing with fire is damaging lives and precious property on the one hand and destroying democratic political culture on the other. It is not acceptable at all.
