RAB arrested a young man who entered Facebook Live and threatened cricketer Shakib Al Hasan. Mohsin Talukder was arrested in a village in Dakshin Sunamganj upazila of Sunamganj district on Tuesday morning. Earlier Monday night, the police filed a case against him under the Digital Security Act. The young man from Sylhet was hiding in the Ransi village of Purba Pagla, Sunamganj upazila union, when an intense discussion and criticism began about the incident of threatening Shakib.

Sylhet Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Media) BM Ashraf Ullah Taher confirmed the matter. Mohsin threatened cricketer Shakib live on Facebook Sunday night. He is the son of Azad Box Talukder from Shahpur Talukdarpara village in Sylhet Sadar upazila.

If the video went viral, the matter was brought to the attention of the police. Jalalabad Police Officer-in-Charge (CO) Akil Uddin said Deputy Inspector Mahbub Morshed filed a case under the Digital Security Act on Monday night charging the menacing Mohsin Talukder.

According to RAB-9 sources, three RAB teams conducted raids at different locations in the Sunamganj district on Monday. At one point, the RAB also called the wife of the fugitive Mohsin. When Mohsin spoke to his wife on a mobile phone Tuesday morning, the RAB arrested him for that reason. The house where he hid is said to be the house of one of his relatives.
