“We are now in a virtual state due to the coronavirus,” said Sajeeb Wazed Joy, ICT adviser to the prime minister. This would not have been possible without Digital Bangladesh. If it weren’t for digital Bangladesh, now Bangladesh would collapse economically.

He made the remarks while attending a virtual Joy Bangla Youth award distribution ceremony here on Tuesday, November 18.

Joy said that Digital Bangladesh has been implemented through its own efforts and not with the help of foreigners. Today, with the establishment of Digital Bangladesh, the country’s economy has not stumbled in the face of the Corona epidemic.

“As long as the Awami League is in power, the country will carry on,” he said. We are with those who want to solve. My ears hurt hearing a complaint that it doesn’t exist. We are with those who want to lead.

He said the people of the country will make sure who will lead in the future. Bangabandhu has struggled to form a secular state. The three principles of our state must be defended by all. Hindus, Buddhists and Christians all have rights here.

Center for Research and Information (CRI) Trustee Nasrul Hamid delivered the welcoming address at the award ceremony.
