Climate change has not stopped in the wake of the Corona epidemic. Equal importance should be given to fighting the coronavirus epidemic and preventing climate change. A new investigative report from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) said on Tuesday. Global warming is a bigger threat than Covid-19, according to the report.
Citing the report, the AFP news agency said the Geneva-based agency had prepared an investigative report on global disasters since the 1970s. According to the report, there have been around 100 global disasters since the World Organization of the Salud declared Kovid-19 a global epidemic in March. Many of these are related to the weather. And at least 50 million people around the world have been affected by these disasters.
International Federation Secretary General Jagan Shapagain told a virtual press conference: “Now that the Crown epidemic continues, it is in front of us all. Corona is attacking our family, friends, relatives. Now we face a great crisis. At the same time, he warned that the International Federation fears that climate change will have a more lasting impact on the lives of the world and people.
