Another cricketer committed suicide. This time Sajibul Islam, a young cricketer from Bangladesh, chose the path of suicide. Sajibul is a resident of Jhaluka Amgachhi village in Durgapur upazila of Rajshahi. Sajibul’s body was found hanging from his home. Then the whole family burst into tears. The family of the deceased claimed that Sajibul was on the Bangladesh U19 Cricket World Cup team. Bangladesh cricket is mourning the death of Sajibul.
Sajibul was a reserve cricketer for the Bangladesh cricket team at the U19 World Cup. He also played cricket for the U-15 and U-16 national teams. But Sajibul Islam was removed from the team because he was unable to perform as expected in the national team jersey. And that is why he gradually drifted away from the best cricket in the country. On top of that, Bangabandhu was disappointed because he didn’t get a shot in the T20 league, Sajibul Islam. That is why it is considered suicide.
After news of Sajibul’s suicide broke, the cricket community in Bangladesh was stunned and, at the request of the family, an autopsy on Sajibul’s body was not performed. The death of this young cricketer has cast a shadow of mourning on the cricket ground of Bangladesh.
