Chuadanga: A case has been brought against three unidentified persons in connection with a robbery at the Uthli Bazar branch of Sonali Bank in Jivannagar upazila de Chuadanga.
On Monday morning (16 November), the manager of the Uthli Bank branch, Abu Bakkar Siddique, brought the case to the Jivannagar Police Station.
Meanwhile, 24 hours after the incident, the police were unable to identify or arrest anyone.
Chuadanga Police Superintendent Zahidul Islam said the three criminals wore helmets, masks and personal protective equipment and took hostages at gunpoint. Since there is no CCTV camera at the bank branch, time is being taken to identify the culprits.
Earlier on Sunday (November 15) at 1:15 pm, three thieves kidnapped bank guards and officials at the Uthli branch in Chuadanga and looted Tk 8.5 lakh from the box.
