A special meeting of representatives of the district Awami League was being held in the auditorium of the Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah College of Government in Natore. The leader who was leaving the meeting with pride was Sajedur Rahman Khan. He is the chairman of the Natore district council and a senior leader of the district Awami League. Junaid Ahmed Palak, Member of Parliament for Natore-3 and Minister of State for ICT, was the MP who brought him back to the meeting.

The incident took place shortly after the meeting of special representatives of the district Awami League began in the auditorium of the Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah Government University on Sunday. Several leaders present in various sources and meetings confirmed the matter. However, no senior district leaders agreed to comment. Neither MP Palak nor Zila Parishad chairman Sajedur Rahman Khan spoke on the issue.

What happened
The guests are known to have been invited to the stage after the district Awami League’s special representatives meeting began at 11 a.m. on Sunday. He was sitting in the audience. Sajedur Rahman Khan was arrogant in this incident. Later, he got angry and decided to leave the meeting place. At this point other leaders asked him to sit down. But Sajedur Rahman Khan started to leave the auditorium without listening to anyone.

After stepping out of the auditorium door, ICT Minister of State Junaid Ahmed Palak stepped forward to solve the problem. He was sitting on the stage. He got up from there and tried to stop veteran leader Sajedur Rahman Khan. When he wanted to leave the meeting, Palak grabbed him. Sajedur Rahman Khan took the stage and sat down after asking him to stand up.

Later, a special meeting of the district representatives was held under the chairmanship of the district president of Awami League and deputy of Natore-4 Abdul Quddus and the deputy of Natore-2 (Sadar) and general secretary Shafiqul Islam Shimul. The meeting was attended by the organization secretary of the Central Awami League (in charge of the Rajshahi Division) SM Kamal Hossain and the members of the Central Executive Committee Akhtar Jahan, deputy of Shahidul Islam Bakul, deputy of the reserved seat Ratna Ahmed, former minister of sports state Ahad Ali Sarkar, former MP Abul Kalam Azad.
