Shafi’s followers of Hefazat are sitting to decide

This was stated by Naib Amir Mufti Muhammad Waqqas of the dissolved committee after announcing the new committee at a conference at Hathazari Madrasa in Chittagong on Sunday.

At the conference in Hathazari Madrasa, former Secretary General Junaid Babungari was announced as the new Emir and the coordinator of the Dhaka Metropolitan Committee Nur Hossain Qasemi was announced as the new Secretary General.

It is alleged that followers of the late Amir Shah Ahmad Shafi were not invited to the Qaumi Madrasa-based organization’s conference.

While the conference was taking place in Hathazari, Shafi’s followers, led by Mufti Waqqas, gathered at the Askan Tower in East Dholairpar, Dhaka.

Asked by reporters after the meeting, Waqqas said: “This committee has not been made public, it is real. I don’t see any way that it has been done according to any rules.”

“I will hold a prayer meeting for the Emir of our Hathazari Madrasa (Ahmad Shafi). That prayer mahfil will take place next Saturday. At that time we will decide the council ”.

Maulana Mainuddin Ruhi, the deputy general secretary of the recently dissolved committee, came from Chittagong to attend the meeting.

Commenting on the conference held at Al Jamiatul Ahlia Darul Uloom Moinul Islam Madrasa in Hathazari, Maulana Ruhi said: “Of the 151 members of the (Central Committee), 75 members know nothing about it. So this advice is completely illegal and we are rejecting it. “

Custody is in the hands of Babungari

When Ahmed Shafi, the general director of Hathazari Madrasa, was the emir of Hifazat, Junaid Babungari, the teacher of the same madrasa, was the general secretary.

In the middle of this year, Babungari lost the position of madrasa in a conflict with Shafi’s son, Anas Madani, but remained in the post of general secretary of Hefazat.

Ahmed Shafi resigned as general director of the madrassa last September amid protests from a group of madrassa students. His son Anas Madani was also fired. Then Babungari returned to the madrasa post.

Ahmed Shafi died the day after losing control of Hathazari Madrasa.

Shafi’s followers have opposed him since the Babungari became active to fill Amir’s vacancy.

Najibul Bashar wants Babungari as custodial emir

Mufti Waqqas said: “He (Ahmad Shafi) has passed away, a post has become vacant. It would have been better if only one Amir had replaced Amir. But here the committee has been reconstituted ”.

Noting that he was not invited, he said: “I am Central Naib Amir and the principal advisor for the Dhaka metropolis. They didn’t even give me a letter, nor did they inform me. In this way, many have been left out ”.

Babungaris committee is ‘illegal’, claim Shafi supporters

Mufti Waqqas, the state religion minister in the Ershad era, also believes there is a conspiracy to take control of Islam in custody.

“At the urging of the special court, it seems to be a step towards destruction. These (councils) have been made at the behest of someone. There is a sector of people who do not want the ulama to be in this country, let’s talk. .

Speaking at a press conference at the Chittagong Press Club on Saturday, Ruhi claimed that Ahmed Shafi had been deliberately driven to death by the Jamaat-Shibir conspiracy.

He has also been claiming that Jamaat-e-Islami will take over custody.
