The dispute between the two groups surrounding today’s council is public.
A decade after its establishment, Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, the country’s largest religious non-political organization, could split into two parts around the Central Council! Because the dispute between the two groups of the organization has arisen openly.
The late Amir Allama Ahmad Shafi of Hifazat is known to have called for the council to be closed, otherwise they will form an alternative Hifazat Islam with Ahmad Shafi caliphs. However, the main body of Hefazat says that the general secretary of the organization has called this conference according to the rules.
For the first time since its inception in 2010, the organization’s council will be held on Sunday at the Darul Uloom Hathazari Madrasa in Chittagong, known as the headquarters of Hefazat. Formal activities will begin at 10 am and continue until the afternoon. It will be chaired by Allama Naib Amir Allama Muhibullah Babungari.
More than five hundred high-level academics from across the country will attend the Hathazari Madrasa and elect the successor to the late Amir Ahmad Shafi. Hefazat-e-Islam founder Amir and former CEO of Hathazari Madrasa Allama Ahmad Shafi died on September 17 this year while undergoing treatment in Dhaka.
Advocates for your case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online.
Through this, the council of the organization is going to take place without the followers of Allama Shafi. However, the Hefazat Council organizers say that everyone who is active in Hefazat has been invited. There are some controversial people who are in danger of creating chaos if they attend; they were not invited.
Meanwhile, at separate press conferences in Dhaka and Chittagong, Ahmad Shafi’s followers said there was no legitimacy to convene a new Hefazat-e-Islam council.
At a press conference at the National Press Club in Dhaka, Mufti Faizullah, Hifazat’s deputy general secretary, said that a targeted group conspired to take Hifazat-e-Islam under their control and implement their own agenda. If someone is given responsibility unilaterally on behalf of the custodial council by a single decision, they will not be accepted by the ulama of this country. If there is a conspiracy to do something differently, the compatriots will stop it.
At a press conference held at the Chittagong Press Club, a group of supporters of the late Amir Shah Ahmad Shafi claimed that efforts were being made to bring supporters of Jamaat-BNP under the leadership of the organization. Ahmed Shafi’s younger brother-in-law submitted a written statement. Moin Uddin. Hefazat’s deputy general secretary, Moinuddin Ruhi, responded to several questions. Maulana Kaiser, Ahmed Shafi’s grandson and six members of the Hifazat central committee were present.
Ahmed Shafi’s son Anas Madani was supposed to be present at the press conference, but he reportedly fled after receiving a “death threat”. However, he was present at the press conference of the National Press Club. The press conference also called for a judicial investigation into the death of Ahmed Shafi, calling his death a “premeditated murder”.
Moin Uddin said that a conspiracy was being hatched to hand over Hazur’s non-political organization Qaumi to Jamaat-Shibir and BNP through the council. Moinuddin Ruhi said: “It is as clear as day that this council is to implement the Jamaat-Shibir agenda.”
When asked if he would be invited to the conference, he said that the person who will chair the council (Mahibullah Babungari) has already resigned. After that, he did not return to custody. So this advice is invalid. Five of the seven assistant general secretaries did not receive invitations. Of the 35 naib amir, 23 have yet to be invited and arrangements are being made to prevent them from coming.
Hefazat leader ANM Ahmad Ullah said: “We will wait until the last moment.” If we see that they are electing a leader like them, we will announce the activities of the new custody of the 2,000 caliphs of Shah Ahmad Shafi.
On the other hand, Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, central organizing secretary of the main body of Hefazat, said that Maulana Muhibullah was not Babungari, the conference was convened by general secretary Junaid Babungari. The Secretary General has duly convened this conference. It will be attended by 500 delegates from all over the country. The elders will choose the leader in the presence of all.
Who is the new emir?
Meanwhile, party sources said that although the names of the current senior Naib Amir Muhibullah Babungari, Naib Amir Nur Hossain Qasemi and General Secretary Junaid Babungari are up for discussion, Junaid Babungari remains the most acceptable person in the Qaumi arena.
Although the main leadership of Hefazat-e-Islam has been elected from Chittagong since its inception, this time there is a strong possibility of decentralizing the main leadership by coordinating the two posts in Dhaka and Chittagong, the organization’s responsible leaders said. If Amir is elected from Chittagong as he is, someone from Dhaka will be appointed general secretary. In this case, the name of the current Naib Amir Nur Hossain Qasemi from Hifazat is at the top of the discussion for the post of Secretary General.
Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, an apolitical Islamic organization based on Qaumi Aqeedah, was formed on January 19, 2010 in the Darul Uloom Hathazari Madrasa auditorium with the participation of all major Qaumi Alems in the country. Although later established as apolitical, the organization became an important factor in the country’s politics.
At that 2010 conference, Ahmed Shafi was named founder of the Amir organization. Initially, the director of Chittagong Darul Maarif Madrasa, Sultan Yaqoob Nadvi, was appointed general secretary, but then the responsibility passed to Junaid Babungari. Hefazat-e-Islam made its debut in the face of insults to the Prophet, opposition to women’s development policy and secular education policy, but on May 5, 2013, the religious organization was debated around the world to through the Shapla Chattar site.
