The organization’s leaders, known as its followers, have claimed that the late Emir of Hifazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi, was killed.
At separate press conferences in Chittagong and Dhaka on Saturday, they demanded a judicial investigation into the “murder” and the closure of the council tomorrow.
The demands were made by Under-Secretary-General Maulana Moinuddin Ruhi at a press conference held under the Hifazat banner at the Chittagong Press Club on Saturday (November 14) at 12 noon.
Allama Ahmad Shafi’s younger brother-in-law submitted a written statement. Moin Uddin. Hefazat’s Deputy Secretary General Moinuddin Ruhi answered several questions from journalists.
Maulana Kaiser, Ahmed Shafi’s grandson and six members of the Hifazat central committee were present. Ahmed Shafi’s son and Hefazat’s publicity secretary Anas Madani were supposed to be present at the press conference, but he was reportedly on the run after receiving a “death threat”.
In a written statement, Moin Uddin said: “My own sister Firoza Begum (60) is sick with grief over the untimely death of my brother-in-law Hazrat Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi.” I can’t bear to cry. I have appeared before you at your request.
Regarding the death of Allama Shafi, he said: “My brother-in-law Hazrat Allama Shafi did not die naturally.” He was deliberately killed. We demand justice for his murder. We demand a judicial investigation into his murder.
Regarding the Hefazat Council, he said that Hefazat Islam has organizational rules and regulations. There is no need for advice in this policy. This position will be determined based on seniority according to the rules of the organization. That is why we demand the closing of the council tomorrow (Sunday) at this press conference.
Furthermore, he claimed that the assassination of Shafi Hazur had been planned since then, as he did not fall into the trap of BNP and Jamaat-Shibir in Shapla Chattar. At the press conference it was reported that several religious books were also set on fire at that time.
On the other hand, in response to several questions from journalists, Moinuddin Ruhi said that Hefazat-e-Islam does not have any Shura committee at present. It was proposed in 2014; But Mr. Shafi said that if you start with shura, you should start with scholars from all over the country. Hefazat-e-Islam is such a large organization that then there will be thousands of Shura members throughout the country. So did the Shura Committee.
He said that this Shura committee is being talked about to become friends. According to our constitution, in the absence of the emir, the senior naib emir will be in charge. Amir will be elected based on the opinions of the Central Committee and the Executive Committee. The Central and Executive Committees have not yet met. The general secretary himself has summoned the council.
When asked if he would be invited to the conference on Sunday, Moinuddin Ruhi said that the person who will chair the council (Mahibullah Babungari) has already resigned. After that, he did not return to custody. So this advice is illegal.
Five of the seven assistant general secretaries did not receive invitations. Ruhi claimed that 23 of the 35 Nayeb Amirs had not yet been invited and that arrangements were being made to prevent them from coming.
On the other hand, Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, one of the members of the Implementation Committee of the Central Council of Hifazat-e-Islam Bangladesh and the organizing secretary of Hifazat-e-Islam, has denied these accusations.
He said an insidious mahal had risen to dispute custody later. They are involved in various conspiracies to thwart the council that will be kept in custody tomorrow. But your purpose will never succeed.
Central leaders have already been invited. He hopes everyone is present at the council.
