Party Identity Found in Bus Fire Incident: DMP

The DMP said that in most cases, party identities were found in the investigation of bus fires in the capital. Deputy Police Commissioner Walid Hossain told reporters at DMP’s office on Saturday morning.

DMP commissioner Walid Hossain said: “We will try to find out why they set the bus on fire or what was their motive.” And we will try to find out who his collaborators were and under whose direction they did these things. We will increase the number of police patrols and checkpoints as a precautionary measure, as well as our intelligence.

The DMP said it was trying to identify the saboteurs by looking at CCTV footage of the scene and its surroundings. The Police assure that most of those involved in the burning of 10 buses in different parts of the capital on Thursday (November 12) have already been identified.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Walid Hossain, director of the media and public relations department of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), told Samay Sangbad that hired criminals participated in the sabotage. The bus was burned for the purpose of creating panic in the minds of the people. There are many defendants with political identities who have committed these types of incidents before. Security has been tightened across the capital since Thursday’s incident.

It is worth mentioning that last Thursday from 12:30 pm to 4 pm at the Paltan of the capital on the north side of the BNP party office, in front of the Motijheel Madhumati Cinema Hall, in front of the Ramna Hotel, in front of the Shahbagh Aziz Supermarket , on the north side of the Secretariat, Bangshal Thana Naya Bazar and Paltan Thana Park Link area. The criminals set the bus on fire. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.
