The criminals set fire to 10 buses at nine locations in the Paltan, Motijheel, Shahbagh, Bhatara, Bangshal and Uttara East Police Stations of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Thursday. The police have filed a total of nine cases under the Special Powers Act.

The police have brought two cases under the Special Powers Act at Motijheel Police Station in relation to the explosion of a petrol bomb and arson on the bus. According to a case statement, 41 defendants and other unidentified BNPs and their affiliates, leaders and activists from the 20-party alliance have gathered at the Motijheel police station under the Motijheel police station to disrupt the by-elections to the Dhaka constituency. -17 held on Thursday. Cocktail explosion case at the polling station
