There was no political activity outside of this. There have been several explosive cocktails in the constituency. In addition, 10 buses have caught fire in different parts of the capital.

He said that after analyzing the surrounding situation, it appears that this incident is similar to the 2015 arson attack. I am analyzing the various signals found in the bus fire with the above signals. We are trying to identify and arrest those involved in this incident.

Monirul Islam said the BNP had also held several processions at the places where buses were set on fire in the capital during the by-elections in Dhaka-17. The procession and the arson are tied in the same thread. The investigation is ongoing. We will let you know the details if we can go a little further.

Earlier on Thursday (November 12), 10 buses were set on fire at nine locations in the capital, including Shahbagh, Press Club, Gulistan, Motijheel, Nayabazar, Bhatara, Shahjahanpur and the airport. However, no casualties were reported.

According to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Crime Command and Control Center, a fire broke out in 15 government vehicles parked in the tax area on the north side of the BNP party office at the Paltan police station at 12: 05 pm on Thursday. Then at 1 pm on the Agrani Bank staff bus in front of the Madhumita Cinema Hall of Motijheel Police Station, at 1:25 am in the current Victor Classic Paribahan in front of the Ramna Hotel, at 1:30 pm in Dewan Paribahan in front of the Aziz Super Market in Shahbag, at 2:10 pm on the north side of the Bangladesh Secretariat. Law enforcement agencies suspect that an opposition party has set buses on fire in different parts of the capital at the same time in an attempt to sabotage the parliamentary elections in the Dhaka-17 constituency. It is being investigated whether the incidents of cocktail explosions in two places in the constituency and the incidents of setting fire to public transport in different places in the capital during the vote are the same.
