Tithi Sarkar was temporarily expelled from the university on October 26, 2005 under the authority of the Vice Chancellor under article 10 (11) of the JOB-2005 Law on the charge of insulting religion, subject to the approval of the Union. Tithi Sarkar was also suspended from the post of secretary of the Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad office, branch of Jagannath University.

Tithi is said to have left her home in Pallabi on October 25 and went to Bagerhat after contacting her boyfriend Shiplu Mallick. There he married Shiplu and settled in Bagerhat. Then he came to Dhaka on November 9.

According to the CID, a CID cyber police team confirmed his whereabouts while he was staying at the home of Shiplu’s distant uncle, Debashish Roy, in Narsingdi and arrested him on Wednesday.

According to the CID, on October 31, the CID cyber monitoring team noted that a fake post was being shared on Facebook titled ‘Tithi Sarkar, a student at Jagannath University, was rescued from the fourth floor of the CID office in Malibagh ‘. The news quickly went viral on various IDs and Facebook pages. In fact, no such incident has occurred within the CID.

The Cyber ​​Police (CID) has initiated actions to take legal action against rumor traffickers. Following this, the Cyber ​​Police Center arrested Niranjan Baral, one of the rumor mongers from the Banasree area of ​​Rampura on November 2. A case was filed against Niranjan Baral and several other unidentified persons under the Digital Security Law at the DMP’s Paltan Police Station.

During the investigation of the case at the Cyber ​​Police Center, secret information was found that the Tithi government was voluntarily staging a secret arrest / kidnapping drama. His idea was that in this way he would be spared the consequences of hurting his religious feelings by imposing responsibility for his abduction on others, and the course of events would be diverted.

According to the CID, Tithi Sarkar and Shiplu Mallick will be arrested and sent to court on November 2 in a CID case related to hurting religious sentiments and creating a situation of law and order under the Police Station Digital Security Law. of Paltan. An application for return and a separate case against you will also be filed in court.

Noting that ordinary people of Bangladesh believe in a very peaceful and non-communal spirit, he said that ordinary people are asked not to believe in any kind of information and news against communalism, violence and extremism without proper verification. .
