Noting that the armed forces are essential for the protection of independence and sovereignty, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that her government is working to modernize the armed forces in light of the defense policy of the Father of the Nation.
Addressing the members of the Armed Forces, the Prime Minister said: “It is our wish that you fulfill your duties towards the country and the people with devotion and patriotism.” He said, ‘You have to know the history, you have to know the country, you have to love the country. We have to work for the country, we have to work for the country’s people, we have to work for ordinary people. ‘
DGFI Director General, Major General Mohammad Saiful Alam, delivered a welcoming speech on the occasion. Advisor to the Prime Minister of Defense Major General (retired) Tariq Ahmed Siddique, Secretary of Defense Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal and PMO Secretary Tofazzal Hossain Mia were present at the Ganobhaban finale.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said she is working tirelessly for the betterment of underserved and disadvantaged people by prioritizing humanity’s realization of Bangabandhu ideals. He further said, “The father of the Bangabandhu nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave priority to humanity above all else and his love for the people was unlimited. What I am doing now is a reflection of the ideals of the Father of the Nation ”.
