A young man named Sabidul Islam Sajjad (24) from Chandnaish was stabbed to death by a friend at Satkania in Chittagong. The incident took place around 8.30pm on Thursday at the Kaliaish Union BOC crossing in upazila.

Police and eyewitnesses said that Sabidul Islam Sajjad, son of the late Kafil Uddin from the Botghata area of ​​Dohazari Municipality in Chandnaish, along with some friends arrived at the home of Rabiul Islam, son of the late Islam Mia driver from the Kaliyaish union in Satkania on Thursday afternoon. At noon they all eat at Rabiul Islam’s house. Around 8.30pm, Sajjad was talking to some of his friends at the corner of BOC. At that moment, his friend Rabiul came there and stabbed Sajjad in the chest. Sajjad’s friends who were with him arrested Rabiul and at one stage of the beating Rabiul managed to escape. Later, the bystanders rescued Sajjad in critical condition and took him to the Green Hospital in Dohazari. Sajjad died on the way to Chamek Hospital after initial treatment there.

The stab sank deep into his chest. It looks like a jacket that is closed with a cord. We sent him to Chamek Hospital after immediate first aid. I heard that he died before reaching Chittagong.

Sajjad and his friends had lunch at Rabiul’s house yesterday afternoon. But it was not immediately clear what they were doing. The police are trying to arrest Rabiul Islam.
