According to police and local sources, Russell’s father, Abdul Bari, suffered a heart attack on Wednesday night and was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. At around 8 p.m., the hospital doctor declared him dead. Russell was devastated. Russell came home with his father’s body and posted three posts on his Facebook between 12 pm and 1 am In it he wrote: ‘In my world, my Beyond is my Father. The doctor just declared Abba Ray dead. I want to pray, of course I will not leave my father alone, I will be a partner. My world, my father is all mine, my heart. I ran out of oxygen, my heart detached from my body. Dad fought to the death for us and we reciprocated. Dad, you are my superhero. I don’t have the means to survive, tell me what should I do? It’s 10 o’clock, your phone is not real. No one was looking for me. After giving him this status, he committed suicide by wrapping a scarf around his neck with the roof of a house in the pond adjoining the house.
In this regard, the Officer in Charge (CO) of the Purbadhala Police Station, Mohammad Tauhidur Rahman, said that the young man is believed to have committed suicide because of his Facebook status. His body was recovered and sent to the morgue of Netrokona Modern Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
