Hafeez Maulana Abdul Bari (60) from Dhobaruhi village in Bishkakuni, Purbadhala upazila union of Netrokona, died of a heart attack around 8pm on Wednesday. I don’t have the means to survive, tell me what will I do? It’s 10 o’clock, where did your phone come from? No one took my whereabouts. ‘
Later that night, his body was found hanging from the fence of his fishing house next to the house.
According to locals and police sources, Abdul Bari used to teach at a local Qawmi madrasah. He died of a heart attack around 8pm on Wednesday. Sheikh Russell was emotionally upset. Russell studied economics at Mymensingh Anandamohan College.
Purbadhala Police Station OC Mohammad Tauhidur Rahman confirmed the incident and said legal action would be taken as directed by higher police authorities.
