A four-year-old girl has been charged with raping a girl after she was called at home for offering flowers and sweets in the area of the Shah Makhdum Police Station in Rajshahi City. The incident took place around 5 p.m. Wednesday. Upon learning of the incident, the locals surrounded the defendant’s house at night.
Upon receiving the news, the police rescued the boy and sent him to the One Stop Crisis Center (OCC) at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. However, the defendant was not caught until 12:30 pm on Thursday.
The name of the young accused. Manik (26). According to police, Manik called a four-year-old girl at her home and raped her, promising to give her flowers and candy. The boy returned home and informed his mother about the incident.
Meanwhile, when the news spread in the area, people surrounded Manik’s house. But before that, he fled.
Saiful Islam Sarkar, Officer-in-Charge (CO) of Shah Makhdum Police Station, quoted locals as saying at first glance that the young man had previously raped a five-year-old girl. It is then resolved locally. This time the people of the area got angry and surrounded Manik’s house.
The OC further said that Manik left his mobile phone at home and fled. As a result, his whereabouts could not be determined. An attempt is being made to arrest him. The boy’s mother filed a complaint with the police station at night.
