The creative method was introduced in the country in 2006 at the secondary level. Later, in 2012, the merit-based (creative) questioning system was also introduced at the primary level. Lawmakers say introducing this method will reduce memorization and increase students’ ability to understand and learn. But the application of this method has been debated from the beginning. Now parents and various educators say that it is having a negative effect on students, as teachers cannot master the method properly.
Creatively, a question is divided into four parts. Currently, of the total scores in each subject on the exam, 60 percent of the questions are creative and 30 questions are asked in multiple-choice questions.
According to Mausi’s latest monitoring report, 29.72 percent of school teachers ask questions creatively with the help of other schools. The rate of schools that collect questionnaires from abroad is 15.14 percent. Teachers at these schools collect question papers primarily from local teacher guides or associations. Now 55.25 percent of school teachers can ask the questions themselves.
But a year and a half ago, according to the July 2016 monitoring report, until then, 56.12 percent of the school’s teachers could ask the questions themselves. The comparative figure says that the interrogation rate has increased with the help of other schools. The collection rate for foreign question documents is almost the same.
According to Banbase, 1 crore 3 lakh 49,323 students are currently studying at the secondary level. Approximately two and a half lakhs of teachers at this level. Teachers receive training in creative education within the framework of the Secondary Education Level Investment Program (CESIP). But this training is nominal.
