According to locals, the newborn’s body came out of the interior when a dog pulled out a bag behind the Janata bench in the Clinicpara Charpara area near Mymensingh Medical College. The locals believe that the newborn can be left in a bag after birth. The skin of the newborn’s body was scraped off by the dog’s tug. Locals also said that the left leg was cut off at the waist by the dog’s bite. At that moment, when the pedestrian saw him and yelled, the people gathered and chased the dog away. After receiving the news, the police went to the scene and recovered the body of the newborn and sent it to the morgue of Mymensingh Medical.
