The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) kicked off with a final on Tuesday in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Mumbai Indians beat the Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets in the final to win the title for the fifth time. Delhi did not win the title for the first time. Shreyas Iyars has to be satisfied to be runner-up.

Final man
Mumbai Indians fast pitcher Trent Bolt was the best pitcher in the final. Took 3 wickets in 30 overs. He has also been selected as the ‘Power Player’ of the tournament.
Series Man
With 305 points, the star bowler of the Rajasthan Royals, Zafra Archer, has become the “Most Valuable Cricketer” or Man of the Series in the IPL. Archer has taken 20 wickets in 8.55 economy in 14 games. Additionally, he scored 113 runs and hit 10 sixes at Marquette.
Orange cap
Kings XI Punjab captain Lukesh Rahul has shown great form at this year’s event. His collection of 60 runs in 14 games is the highest in the tournament. So the orange cap is on his head. It also won the “Game Changer of the Season” award.
Purple cap
South African fast bowler from Delhi Kagiso Rabada has become the biggest wicket catcher in the IPL with 30 wickets. So he won the Purple Cap this time.
Emerging player
Royal Challengers Bangalore starter Devdut Padikkal has been named ‘Emerging Player’ for scoring 463 runs in his first IPL.
Super forward of the season
Kieron Pollard of the Mumbai Indians, who scored a strike rate of 191.42, has been named the “Super Forward of the Season.”

Ishan Kishan of Mumbai, who reached 30 sixes in the tournament, won the most sixes.
