BJP-Nitish ahead in Bihar World | DW

The fight is fierce. NDA of BJP-Nitish Kumar against the great alliance of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son, Tejaswi Yadav. The NDA leads at 121 seats. In 113 great alliances. BJP leads in 73 seats, RJD in 64 seats, Nitish Kumar’s party in 43 seats, Congress in 21 seats, CPI (ML) in 11 seats and CPM in four seats. The gap between 125 seats is between eight and five thousand votes. So this back and forth calculation may change later. The government can only be formed if it wins 122 seats in Bihar. However, the battle is so intense that it is unclear who will win in the end.

But one thing is clear. The BJP will win the most seats among the NDA allies. Nitish Kumar will win far fewer seats than the BJP. As a result, the question remains who will be the Chief Minister if the NDA wins. Although all the BJP leaders, from Prime Minister Narendra Modi onwards, said during the campaign that Nitish would be the Prime Minister if the NDA won. But what he will do after leaving office is unknown at this time.

In India, state polls generally result in noon or afternoon. But during the Corona period, the number of stands in Bihar increased a lot. So there is no crowd during the vote. Then it is too late to count. The distance is maintained even during counting. So the results are coming slowly. So in the afternoon RJD also stated that in the end the grand alliance will be the winner. However, preparations for the victory celebrations have started at the BJP office in Patna.

Even if the NDA wins in the end, there is still a thorn in the side. That is Chirag Paswan-Kanta. This time, Chirag has run all-seat candidates against Nitish’s JDU party. Chirag Paswan’s party has between five and six percent of the vote in many centers in Bihar. As a result, behind Nitish’s poor results is Chirag’s role and the ire of migrant workers. And in the Bihar polls, it was alleged from the beginning that the BJP was behind Chirag. They want to reduce Nitish’s seat. However, there is no doubt that many of Nitish’s ships have been damaged by migrant workers.

Lalu’s son, Tejaswi Yadav, tried to win the vote for Bihar. Young people were also impressed by his announcement of a million government jobs. By showing this dream to young people, I wanted to get them out of the caste and vote for RJD. For the most part he has succeeded, but the last smile is not going to tell if he will be able to smile. However, the 31-year-old leader has fought very well. At least it has surpassed Nitish and reached number one in terms of number of seats. However, as usual, Congress has disappointed. Fighting for 60 seats, they are ahead by 21 seats. The leftists have done better than that.

All exit polls said the Tejaswi-led alliance would win. But in reality, Tejaswi has fought hard, but the BJP-Nitish NDA is ahead. And if Bihar wins, it will boost the morale of the BJP and after five or six months, they will jump to the polls in West Bengal with extra morale. If the BJP loses in Bihar, it will also have a psychological effect on the BJP workers in West Bengal.
