A roommate of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad has testified in the murder case. His name is Tanvir Ahmed.

He is a 16th batch student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He told the court that the defendant Mizanur had called Abrar’s death a “political matter”.

Witness Tanvir Ahmed told the court that Abrar Fahad was his roommate. On October 8 last year, Abrar Fahad arrived at the hall from his home in the village between 3 pm and 4 pm. He woke up at 5:30 to see Abrar eating at the table. He also brought food from home and asked Abrar to eat. After the Maghreb prayers, Abrar Fahad told him that he would go to sleep. It should be called at 9pm.

Because, Abrar will wake up and study. At approximately eight o’clock in the evening, Ehteshamul and Muntasir al-Jamie, students in the hall, arrived in his room and woke Abrar. Ehteshamul said that the ‘elder brothers’ called him (Abrar).
