MN Larma was the role model in establishing a secular society

Sanjeev Drong, Secretary General of the Adivasi Forum, said indigenous peoples and Bangladesh would have benefited if MN Larma had survived. He gave his life for workers’ rights dreaming of the liberation of the mountain people. He urged the government not to deceive the people of the hills without implementing the agreement.

At the beginning of the commemoration, flowers were laid on the portrait of MN Larma. The indigenous singing group Madal performed the introductory song composed with the leader.

Jannat-e-Ferdousi, joint coordinator of the National Committee, read the message of condolence on the anniversary of the death.

Associate Professor Zobaida Nasreen from Dhaka University delivered a welcoming remarks. Given by the professor at the University of Dhaka, Robayet Ferdous. Ruhin Hossain, central member of the Communist Party of Bangladesh, Shamsul Huda, executive director of the non-governmental organization ALRD, Mushtaq Ahmed, former Daksh secretary general, and Asit Baran Roy spoke at the occasion.

After the discussion of the first episode, in the afternoon the lighting of lamps and the performance of massive music took place. Madal, Adivasi Nari Band F Minor, Ganer Dal Samgeet, and Adivasi leader Sanjeev Drong performed songs.
