The two helicopters were named after two great heroes, Lansnayek Nur Mohammad Sheikh and Lansnayek Munshi Abdur Rauf. Three Armed Personal Transport Vehicles (APC) and Riot Control Vehicle (RCV) were also added to the BGB.

I believe that these two helicopters will play a very effective role in carrying out all kinds of operational, logistical and administrative activities for BGB members deployed especially in remote mountainous areas.

The interior minister said that the BGB has plans to build 16 new BOPs, border surveillance systems and border roads on all borders in the future to curb the infiltration of all kinds of drugs at all borders. There are rivers along the border, especially in the Teknaf and Sundarbans areas. Four state-of-the-art high-speed motorboats have been purchased for the BGB. 152 (ATVs) have been purchased for the base of the pyramid in coastal, char and remote highlands. More equipment will be purchased.
