BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir congratulated Joe Biden on his election as the 47th President of the United States.
The BNP secretary general conveyed this congratulation in a message on Sunday (November 8). Addressing Joe Biden, he said that the people of Bangladesh, along with the friendly people of the United States, are happy with their (Biden’s) historic victory. He conveyed warm greetings and congratulations to Biden on behalf of the people of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party-BNP and himself.
The BNP Secretary General hopes that Biden will be able to reflect the aspirations of the American people and at the same time make a strong contribution to the establishment of peace, security, democracy and human rights in the world.
Referring to the deepening ties between the two countries during the tenure of BNP founding president Ziaur Rahman and BNP president Khaleda Zia, Fakhrul expressed hope that Joe Biden would carry that trend forward. He wished Joe Biden overall success, good health, and longevity.
In the same message of congratulations, the BNP Secretary General congratulated the newly elected Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, and wished her much success, longevity and good health.
