A case has been brought against a first class student in Alamdanga upazila de Chuadanga for raping her. Alamdanga police arrested a man named Sohel Rana (40) in the case on Saturday night.
According to police and local sources, the boy was returning home from a neighbor’s house on the afternoon of November 4. At that time Sohail Rana gave the boy four rupees to eat chocolate. He later took the baby to an abandoned house and raped her, saying that he wanted to show her a dove. He threatened to kill her and her mother if she told anyone. Fearing that the boy went home and did not tell anyone. But the next day when the boy got sick, he told his mother to open everything.
The minor was admitted yesterday to the Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. The boy is currently in treatment there. The boy’s uncle filed a complaint with the Alamdanga police station yesterday afternoon alleging rape. The child’s health examination was completed at Sadar Hospital. After filing a case at the police station, the Alamdanga police arrested Sohail overnight.
The officer in charge of the Alamdanga (OC) police, Alamgir Kabir, confirmed the news and said that the arrested Sohail Rana would be turned over to court on Sunday.
