If you write something religiously provocative on social media, you should investigate and take legal action accordingly. Without it, communal attacks are never desirable, it is against the spirit of an independent country.

Leaders and activists of several Hindu organizations said this in a protest program organized in front of the National Press Club and Club on Friday in the wake of the recent fire and attack on several Hindu houses in Muradnagar, Comilla.

These programs were carried out under the banner of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Bangladesh, Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mahajot, Jago Hindu Parishad and Bangladesh Hindu Parishad.

At a press conference in the Maulana Mohammad Akram Khan Hall of the National Press Club around 11 am, Bishwa Hindu Parishad Bangladesh expressed his demands and position.

Speaking as a keynote guest at the press conference, Professor Nimchandra Bhowmik, chairman of the Parishad Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity of Bangladesh and a former ambassador, said that anyone who violates the law should be punished according to the law. Stating that communal attacks are not acceptable for this, he called for opposition to anti-democratic and Pakistani forces. The situation in Bangladesh has improved, but must be improved, he said. He also demanded the formation of a commission for the minority community and the enactment of the Law for the Protection of Minorities according to the government’s electoral manifesto.
