The US presidential elections have been marred by complications in several states. Meanwhile, the Republican Party has complained about voting irregularities.
Regarding the counting of votes, the BBC says that in some states, the counting of votes requires compliance with certain state laws. Pollster Edison has done an analysis on this.
Edison said requesting a recount in Wisconsin or any other state requires the state to meet certain minimum requirements.
Arizona: It is not necessary to request a recount in this state. If there is a difference of 0.1 percent of the votes between the two candidates, the recount is done automatically.
Georgia: When the difference in votes between the two candidates is less than one percent of the total votes, a recount must be requested.
Wisconsin – Under state law, a tally can only be applied if competition is within 1 percent.
According to international media reports, Trump has filed lawsuits in four states alleging voter fraud. Trump’s Republican Party has also threatened to sue Nevada.
