Father-in-law Mohammad Babul Mandal filed a lawsuit against four people, including his daughter-in-law, for trying to kill his two-year-old brother-in-law Swat in Phulbari of Dinajpur on Tuesday (November 3).

Plaintiff Md. Babul Mandal is the son of the late Kinu Mandal from Dakshin Krishnapur village in Phulbari municipal area.

The defendants in the case are Sajal Khan (28), son of Jamal Khan from Kantabari village in Fulbari Upazila, Jamal Khan (60), father of Sajal Khan and Mosha, wife of Jamal Khan. Shahana Begum (55) and Paschim Gauripara (Nimtala Mor) village Md. Arif Khan, wife Mosha. Chalma Begum (30 years old).

According to the file presented at the police station, Sajal Khan, husband of Nishat Tasnim, daughter of Babul Mandal, had been pressuring Babul Mandal in various ways to register the property of his father-in-law in the name of his wife (Nisat Tasnim). But since Babul Hossain did not listen to him, he became enraged in various ways and threatened to harm him. Meanwhile, after 17 long years, Sajal Khan became more enraged in fear that his father-in-law’s property would be lost due to having a son in Babul Mandal. Meanwhile, on October 31, he invited his father-in-law to his home. Babul Mandal, the father-in-law, accompanied his only son Swat (2) to his daughter’s house for a party. At that time, her daughter-in-law Sajal Khan took her brother-in-law Swat out of the house. Munna Islam, son of Mansur Ali from the village of Uttar Sujapur in Fulbari Upazila, approached the Fulbari Government College grounds to answer the call of nature. At that moment, after hearing the cries of the boy in that remote area, Sajal Khan left the boy Swat and fled as soon as he went to the place and wanted to know what had happened to the boy.
