Mention that foreign policy does not depend on anyone. “No matter who comes to power in the United States, we have no problem,” Momen said. He said it was unclear who would win the election. This is a selection of technically different types. They have created the system very well, maintaining the dignity of each state.
The Minister said that the Bangladeshi economy is doing very well and Bangladesh is in a very good geopolitical position. We have maintained neutrality. We have no enmity with any country. We wish everyone the best.
According to him, Bangladesh will work very well with the United States in terms of trade and investment. “We have good relations with the United States,” he said. Bangladesh wants to see stability everywhere. We want strong stability.
After taking power in 2016, Trump’s immigration policy caused hardship for expats, but Bangladesh has benefited financially by resigning from the TPP, Dr. Momen said. “Many of our country’s expats have had problems since Trump arrived,” he said. But the great benefit of our country is that he (Trump) came and left the TPP. Our competing countries used to send things to the United States without tariffs, he excluded them. As a result, we have a good advantage.
Referring to Bangladesh’s good relations with the Trump administration, he said: “We had a good relationship after he (Trump) arrived.” We have gotten rid of terror a lot, we have been able to control it. We have also improved. We do not depend on anyone.
The foreign minister said that many countries, including the Trump administration, have been busy in their respective countries since the start of the Corona epidemic. He expressed hope that the talks with the United States will continue to strengthen Bangladesh’s economic ties as there is no possibility of any impact on the election results. Momen.
