Police arrested three young men, including two brothers, accused of insulting the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on Facebook. A case has been filed under the Digital Security Act at the Bhaluka Model Police Station.
The person arrested is Asad, a freshman at Bhaluka Degree College. Jahangir Pathan Salman, organizing secretary of the local Chhatra League district and Mizanur Rahman, a Dish Line employee.
Bhaluka Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (CO) Mohammad Mainuddin said Jahangir Pathan Salman from Gangatia village in upazila used a Facebook ID called ‘Gangatia Youth Association’ and two Asaduzzaman brothers on Tuesday and Mizanur Rahman from the same village used their Facebook ID to inform Mahanabi. Give status when insulting. After the incident was posted on social media, there was great anger and enthusiasm among religious people. An excited crowd reported the matter to the Bhaluka Model Police Station. That same night, a young man named Rafiqul Islam filed a lawsuit against them. Police raided the house and arrested Jahangir Pathan Salman and Mizanur Rahman at night. Assad was arrested later Wednesday, according to his confession. The police sent the three detainees to court around 2:00 p.m.
