Pushing the passenger of the moving bus in Rampura

Yusuf Hawlader, 33, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. Yusuf’s brother, Ibrahim Hawlader, said Yusuf was in critical condition with injuries to his head and left hand.

Police seized the Victor Transport bus after the incident on Wednesday night. However, the driver and his assistant escaped.

Ibrahim Hawlader told bdnews24.com that his younger brother Yusuf came to Gulistan to return home after work in Keraniganj and boarded the Victor Paribahan bus. On the way to Rampura, when he wanted to get off at Hajipara, he got into a fight with the assistant bus driver. After traveling some distance, the assistant driver pushed Yusuf out of the moving bus.

The locals rescued him and admitted him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Meanwhile, other bus passengers stopped the bus immediately after the incident and reported it to the police.

Hatirjheel Police Station OC Abdur Rashid told bdnews24.com that the bus had been impounded. However, the driver and his assistant escaped.

Yusuf worked in an embroidery factory. His village home is at Sakhipur in Shariatpur. He lived in Kazipara of Rampura.
