Democratic candidate Joe Biden is slightly ahead of Donald Trump in Michigan and Wisconsin, known as the battlefield state. The US news agency AP has hinted that the vote counting in these two states is underway. But Trump is ahead of the other two battle states, Pennsylvania and Georgia. Michigan, Georgia and Wisconsin are due to receive their results on Wednesday (November 4), according to state election rules. Authorities could not confirm when the vote count would end in Wayne County, Michigan. Meanwhile, Pennsylvania’s results do not match by Friday (November 8) due to an extension for the mail-in ballot.

Who will be the next leader of the White House depends on the results of the vote in just a few states. These are Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Also, the three states known as the so-called blue walls in 2016 are Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Democrats are expected to win two of them. In Wisconsin and Michigan, Biden is slightly ahead of Trump.

In the 2016 election in Wisconsin, Hillary Clinton lost to Trump by less than 30,000 votes. It was occupied by Democrats for more than two decades before that. So far this year, 99 percent of the votes have been counted in Wisconsin. He found that Biden was ahead of Trump by nearly 20,000 votes.

Although Trump has been ahead in Michigan since the start of the count, the AP reported that Biden has suddenly begun to advance there since Wednesday morning. The count continues in Wayne County, Detroit, Michigan. County Clerk Kathy M. Garrett declined to say exactly when the count would end, CNN reported. He said they are not in a rush, but are prioritizing the correct calculation. The Detroit area is considered to be inhabited by pro-Democrats.

In Georgia, 94 percent of the votes have been counted. So far, Trump is ahead of Biden by 1 lakh of votes. About 3 lakh of votes remain to be counted. Georgia has been occupied by Republicans since 1992.

The AP has hinted that Trump is ahead based on votes counted so far in Pennsylvania. However, a large number of votes sent by mail remains to be counted. There will be an early vote count on Friday. With the majority of mail-in votes going to Democrats, it is not yet clear what will happen in the state. The number of electoral votes in this state is 20.
