The Department of Elementary Education has directed the principals of educational institutions to prepare plans at the local level and submit them to the district education officials as per the school reopening plan. The Director General (DG) of the Department of Primary Education, Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam, told the Bengali Tribune on Wednesday (November 4) evening. According to instructions, the local plan will be sent to the district education official’s office within the next week, the director general said.
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education took the initiative to implement a short 30-day program in November and December to achieve the basic competency of students in government primary schools. Previously, the ministry had taken the initiative to implement a short 39-day study program starting on November 1. But it was not possible to implement the short 39-day program due to the license extension until November 14. Subsequently, the National Academy of Primary Education (NAPE) drew up a brief 30-day agenda and sent it to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education and the Department of Primary Education. The curriculum has been sent to the educational institution. At the same time, the Director General (DG) of the Department of Primary Education, Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam, has spoken with the Deputy Director of the Department to give verbal instructions to educational institutions that have not yet made preparations for the opening.
When asked, Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam told the Bangla Tribune on Wednesday evening: “ Taking into account the infrastructure of the school and the number of students in the next seven days, according to the plan to reopen the school , the director of the educational institution was asked to prepare a plan locally and send it to the district education officials. ” They will present the local plan within seven days. Each educational institution was supposed to do this according to the school plan. Many schools did not. Many schools have not yet announced how many students will be brought to school based on classroom.
The director general said: ‘If the government decides to open the school, that’s why this paperwork has to be done. And the school principals will keep the school clean. An unofficial decision has been made. But no instructions were given that the students would not be brought to school. There is no decision yet on when the school will open. Which will be decided by the two ministries. The school is closed until November 14. The closure on November 14 means that the school will reopen beginning November 15. This is a misinterpretation. There is no truth in this. We have closed educational institutions many times. Does that mean I opened school the day after vacation? Please do not send any wrong messages.
