Hundreds of supporters of Democratic candidate Joe Biden and activists who recently joined the Black Lives Matter movement gathered outside the White House Tuesday night to recount the results of the US presidential election. Meanwhile, three people have been arrested in front of the White House. Citing local police, the news outlet NBC News reported.

NBC News reports that police first arrested a man early in the evening. Two more were later arrested in connection with a riot, police said.

The area outside the White House where Biden supporters and members of the Black Lives Matter movement had previously gathered was recently renamed ‘Black Lives Matter Plaza’.

“I hope it’s time for the current president to leave here (the White House),” said Williams, a 26-year-old Maryland resident who was involved in the Black Lives Matter movement. And that’s why I came here to celebrate early. ‘

Owner Williams added: “I’m not worried at all. I think he (Trump) will lose and it will be a historic defeat for him.”

Additionally, many Biden supporters have taken positions outside the White House from afar. Ruby Estay, 40, and her friend Lenza, 34, are from Florida. “We are here to transmit energy,” said Ruby Am.

Tracy from Pennsylvania and Laurie Ricks from Maryland said they came here on vacation. “I am sick of what has been going on in our country for so long,” Ricks said.
