Two former US attorneys general cautioned against accepting the results of the vote. One of them is Eric Holder, who was Attorney General during the Obama presidency. The other is Michael Makasi, who was attorney general under Republican President George W. Bush.
In an article published in the Washington Post, the two said that they had many differences of opinion in the past on laws and policies. There are still. But today we write together, because because of the way we disagreed in the past, we still want to do what the Americans have done in the past.
