Biden fears the consequences like Hillary!

The Electoral College episode of the presidential election will begin in the morning in the United States a few hours later. The people of the country have already exercised their right to vote in the popular phase.

According to a poll, Democratic candidate Joe Biden already leads the popular vote. However, Biden fears that he may suffer the same consequences as Hillary.

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election despite receiving nearly 3 million more popular votes than Republican candidate and current President Donald Trump. Because Trump won the electoral college voting system.

To understand the subject, let’s talk a bit about popular voting and the voting system of polling stations. The American people do not directly elect their president. In a first stage, the general public chooses the polling stations in their respective states. This vote in the electoral election of citizens is called “popular vote”. These voters play an important role in choosing the next president. University here means a group. The vote of the electors is called the electoral college vote.

As a general rule, each state in the United States is assigned a certain number of polling stations. The citizens of the state elect the electors of their respective candidates for the offices of president and vice president. If a candidate obtains 50.01 percent of the popular vote in a state, then all the votes of the designated electoral college of that state will be considered to have that candidate.

For example, there are 36 electoral votes in Texas. There, about 80 percent of the citizens voted for Joe Biden. As such, Joe Biden received at least 22 electoral votes. But it will be counted that Biden received all the electoral votes in this state. In other words, the total of 36 will count as Biden’s electoral vote.

The state of California has the highest number of 55 electoral votes. The candidate who comes out the most victorious here will be the owner of the 55 electoral votes. Due to such complex rules in the country’s presidential and vice-presidential elections, the candidate with the highest number of citizen votes will win, an equation that does not work in US elections.

Thus, of a total of 538 votes from electoral colleges in the country, with the exception of the states of Maine and Nebraska, the one who obtains at least 269 votes will be a resident of the White House for the next four years.

Even in the last election of 2016, Hillary Clinton could not become president due to such calculations. Earlier in 2000, Democrats set homes on fire in the same way. George W. Bush was elected president with 271 electoral votes. Although his rival candidate Al Gore was ahead of Bush in the popular vote.
