Due to such complex rules in the country’s presidential and vice-presidential elections, the candidate with the highest number of citizen votes will win, an equation that does not work in US elections.
Thus, of a total of 538 votes from electoral colleges in the country, with the exception of the states of Maine and Nebraska, the one who obtains at least 269 votes will be a resident of the White House for the next four years.
