Passenger protests took place at various stations in Hughli demanding the operation of the train. Travelers began to protest blocking the special train. Previously, there were protests in Pandua and Chunchura for the same reason.

Previously, the railway authorities had sent two letters to the state government shortly before Pujo to start local train services. Nabanna, however, did not reply then. The BJP management also wrote a letter to the railway authorities requesting the circulation of local trains. But Durgapujo was a great challenge for Navanna. Experts also said corona infections could increase in the state after Pujo. As it happened after the Onam festival in Kerala. But the situation is not yet conducive to the spread of the lethal rate in Pujo. On the other hand, there are protests in various directions demanding local trains.
