The High Court has ordered the three hospital authorities to explain the death of the newborn twin within 48 hours. The three hospitals are Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Dhaka Children’s Hospital, and Islami Bank Hospital in Mugda.
The Superior Court also issued a rule asking why the inactivity of the defendants in the medical negligence of the twins would not be illegal.
Monday (November 2) Justice. The High Court tribunal, consisting of Nazrul Islam Talukder and Judge Ahmed Sohail, approved the order along with the rules.
After the twins died, their father said. Abul Kalam Azad (Supreme Court MLSS) brought their bodies to the court premises.
Later, Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik told reporters: ‘Today (Monday) morning, the Supreme Court MLSS Md. When Abul Kalam Azad’s wife, Saira Khatun, fell ill, she gave birth to two children. at the GNC on the way to Mugda Islami Bank Hospital. The mother was subsequently admitted to Islami Bank Hospital. But since the Islami Bank Hospital did not have the proper arrangements in place, the hospital authorities requested that the newborns be transferred to the Dhaka Children’s Hospital in Shyamoli. Later, the two newborns were taken by ambulance to the children’s hospital. Meanwhile, the ICU of the children’s hospital said it was not empty. They say that newborns have to be admitted to normal beds and it will cost five thousand rupees per child per day.
He added that Abul Kalam Azad had discussed the matter with a High Court judge after hearing from the Children’s Hospital authorities. The judge asked him to bring his newborns to Bangabandhu Medical and contact the director.
Later, Abul Kalam took his twin sons to Bangabandhu Medical and tried to contact the director. But the director’s personal officer said the director is at the meeting. It was later reported that the director had gone home. The director’s personal officer then shows the newborns in the ambulance to a doctor. The doctor said at the end of the test that the twin newborns were no longer alive.
Later, Abul Kalam Azad took their bodies by ambulance to the courthouse. AKM Amin Uddin Manik, state attorney for the court, said the court approved the order.
