The sensational statement of the defendant arrested in court

Five policemen from the Godagari Police Station in Rajshahi have been reported to have killed a man for embezzling heroin. The defendant in the murder case of Rafiqul Islam, 32, from Poladanga village in Sadar upazila of Godagari district, Isahaq Ali alias Isa, 29, testified before Senior Judicial Magistrate Ujjwal Mahmud on Friday.

Isahak Ali Isa, who testified, is the son of Rezaul Islam from Madarpur village in Godagari municipal area. Isaac is known to be a drug dealer.

This has caused quite a stir among the Rajshahi district police. The police officers named in Rafiqul’s murder in Isaac’s Section 164 statement were working at the Godagari Police Station at the time of the incident. Apart from SI Mizanur Rahman and a bailiff, the other three have been transferred elsewhere.

Godagari Police Deputy Inspector (SI) Mizanur Rahman, SI Abdul Mannan, SI Rezaul Islam, Sheriff Shahadat Hossain and Sheriff Shafiqul Islam have been named in the confessional statement of the defendant Isaac Ali Issa as involved in the murder of Rafiqul.

The body of Rafiqul Islam, son of Fazlur Rahman from Poladanga Gainpara village in Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila was found on March 22 at Dewanpara Padma Char in Godagari. After recovering the body, the police filed an unnatural death case alleging that the man had died in lightning. However, Rumisa Khatun, 28, the wife of the deceased, filed a murder case with the Godagari Police Station on June 16 accusing Shariful Islam, 32, son of Abdul Malek of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila, and Jamal Uddin, 32, son of Azad Ali from the same area. The case was transferred to the Rajshahi Police Investigation Office or PBI last June.

According to judicial sources, the body of Rafiqul Islam was recovered the night of March 22. However, on the night of March 21, the five accused police officers from the Godagari police station went to the same area without informing the higher authorities or without registering any GD at the police station. Police arrested Azad Ali’s son, Jamal Uddik, 32, in the same area on the night of March 21 with 100 grams of heroin.

Returning to the police station that night, the police arrested Jamal Uddin and registered a case under the Narcotics Act in which the late Rafiqul was accused of being a fugitive. However, the body of Rafiqul Islam, a fugitive accused in a case brought by the police, was found at the Padma Char at the end of the night on March 22. The police recovered Rafiqul Islam’s body and sent him to the Ramek Morgue for an autopsy, but they presented an unnatural death case at the police station saying they were killed by lightning.

According to judicial sources, Jamal Uddin, who was arrested with 100 grams of heroin on the night of March 21, was handed over to the Godagari OC Nityapada Das police station. He was in preventive detention for two days. Later, Jamal testified under Section 164 in court before Judge Hamik. In his statement, Jamal Uddin said at the time that he and Rafiqul were dealing heroin in exchange for money. On the night of March 21, he and Rafiqul were struck by lightning while crossing the Padma Char with heroin. Rafiqul died. However, he was caught with 100 grams of heroin in the hands of the police.

It is known that the murder case presented by Rafiqul’s wife on June 16 was handed over to the PBI on June 23. On July 8, PBI obtained the case documents from the Godagari Police Station. He then went out into the field to unravel the mystery of Rafiqul’s murder. Rajshahi PBI SI Jamal Uddin is investigating the case.

Meanwhile, SI Jamal Uddin arrested Isahaq Ali Isa, son of Rezaul Islam from Madarpur village in Godagari, 25-year-old Faridul Islam, son of Azizul Islam from the same village and Mahabub Ali, son of Azad Ali. He took them to Rajshahi PBI’s office and interrogated them overnight. Among the three arrested, Isaac Ali Isa told the investigating officer all about Rafiqul’s murder. The following day, October 30, Isaac Ali Isa made a confessional statement in court.

According to court sources, Isa said in his statement that he paid Rs 2 lakh to a man named Kashem from Murshidabad, India, for shipping heroin a few days before the incident. Kashem first sends him fake heroin. He tested the heroin sent by Kashem on a heroin addict and confirmed that they were fake. He then asked Kashem to return the money and Kashem promised to send him real heroin. However, instead of 100 grams, he demanded a total of 500 grams of heroin from Kashem along with the remaining 400 grams. On the day the goods arrived, Hare Isa contacted the Godagari police to mislead Kashem. You will deliver the goods, but you will have to pay two lakh rupees in cash. If the police sell the rest of the goods, they will get Rs 15 lakh. The problem will end only if the real heroin is stolen and the two carriers are shipped with fake heroin. According to plan, on the night of March 21, Rafiqul and Jamal Uddin were heading to the ghat with 500 grams of heroin given to them by the Indian drug lord Kashem.

Meanwhile, according to the plan prior to Isa, the Godagari Police Station SI Mizanur Rahman, SI Mannan, SI Rezaul Islam and officers Shahadat and Shafiqul were ambushed on Padma’s staircase in Dewanpara around 9:30 p.m. night. The police caught Rafiqul and Jamal on the way to the ghat. The police tried to take the heroin from Rafiqul.

At that moment, all the policemen in the operation brutally beat Rafiqul. After a while, Rafiqul dropped his hands and feet and fell onto the sand. The police saw him kick and wave his arms. When they did not respond, they checked the nose with their hands to see if Rafiqul was alive. Finally, the police team confirmed that Rafiqul was dead.

Isa added in her statement that the police officers panicked after that. Everyone quickly decided that Rafiqul would be shown as a fugitive with a box of fake heroin. The incident cannot be disclosed to anyone. Then comes the downpour. The police left Rafiqul’s body at the char and returned to the police station with Jamal.

Isa told the court that she quickly fled the scene after seeing Rafiqul dead. The police did not pay him and he did not contact them. The police did not contact him. He later learned that Rafiqul was electrocuted and died.

Meanwhile, an official from Rajshahi PBI said they saw from Rafiqul’s autopsy report that he died due to serious injuries. Furthermore, the fact that Rafiqul was declared a fugitive accused in the drug case brought on behalf of Jamal turned this sensational murder into a turning point. The night his drug fugitive case was filed, his body was found the next morning: the matter was very mysterious and the involvement of the police here reinforces the matter. Meanwhile, on October 30, Isa made a statement in court in which he declared all the incidents and the mystery of Rafiqul’s murder was revealed.

Investigating Officer SI Jamal Uddin further said that Rafiqul’s accomplice, Jamal, has also been arrested in the case. However, the defendant Shariful continues to escape. The next step will be taken after receiving the court documents.

Khairul Islam, the officer in charge of the Godagari Police Station, said that Rafiqul’s body was found in Padma Char a few days after he joined Godagari. He heard for the first time that he had died in lightning. Jamal was then shown arrested in a murder case. A few days later, the case went to PBI. He did not know if policemen were involved in the killings.

The OC also said that SI Mizanur Rahman has been working at the Godagari Police Station for about two years. A couple of months ago, SI Mannan, SI Rezaul and Constable Shahadat were moved to another location. However, Officer Shafiqul is still at the Godagari Police Station. SI Rezaul Ishwardi Police Station, but CO could not say where Mannan and Officer Shahadat are now.

When asked about Rafiqul’s murder by the police in his Section 164 statement, Rajshahi Police Superintendent ABM Masud Hossain said: “The incident happened before I arrived in Rajshahi.” I can not say anything. Even if someone gives the name of the police in the statement, it cannot be said that the police are involved. Again, it cannot be emphasized that the police are not involved. The next step will be taken after looking at the declaration documents.
