Faisal (22) was tortured when he went to meet him at the invitation of his lover’s mother in Habiganj. The lover’s relatives tied him to a post and tortured him in a medieval manner. The video containing the torture was posted on Facebook. This video immediately went viral.
The incident took place last night (Saturday) in the Dwimura area of the upazila. The wounded Faisal is the son of Ahsan Ullah from Hasargaon village at Sadar junction of Chunarughat upazila.
According to Faisal’s family sources, Faisal had a long-term love affair with Lizar, daughter of Abdul Haier, a Kuwaiti expatriate from the Dwimura area of Mirpur Union. Faisal and Liza went to the same university. Her love story Liza informs her mother and introduces Faisal to her mother. At one point, Liza invited Lipi Begum Faisal to follow her advice. When he went to see Faisal, Lizar’s relatives tied him to a post and beat him. When his condition deteriorated, he was reported to the police as a thief.
Upon receiving the news, the police from the Bahubal Model Police Station arrived and handed over Faisal to his family in exchange for bail. Later, Faisal’s mother rescued him and admitted him to Habiganj Sadar Hospital.
Faisal’s mother said that during the fight, my son suffered a serious chest injury and lost his memory. An attempt was made to kill him.
Bahubal-Nabiganj Circle Deputy Superintendent of Police Parvez Alam Chowdhury said police had visited the scene. The abused student’s family has been asked to file a report. Legal action will be taken if a complaint is received.
