French President Emmanuel Macron has backtracked on his anti-Islamic and anti-Islamic remarks. He said in an interview with Al-Jazeera television on Saturday that he was aware of the pain Muslims feel as a result of the publication of cartoons insulting Islam. Macron added that there are some people who are distorting the religion of Islam and have taken up the banner of defending it in the name of this religion.
The French president also said that the publication of satirical cartoons was not a government project but was carried out by some newspapers over which the government had no control. He withdrew from his speech after Muslims around the world erupted in outrage at Emanuel Macron’s blasphemous remarks.
He made the remarks at a time when he had recently spoken out in support of an anti-Islamic cartoon published in the French newspaper Shirley Abdou.
French President Macron, meanwhile, has softened his stance on the issue, but has yet to apologize to Muslims around the world for insulting religion. Muslims believe that the French president should apologize to the Muslim world for making insulting comments about Islam and the Prophet Muhammad.
Recently, a French teacher named Samuel Patti was killed in an attack after showing a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad in front of his classmates. French President Emmanuel Macron blamed Muslims in his country for the killings and claimed that Muslims wanted to destroy France.
In a more disgusting statement, Macron announced that cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad would continue to be published in France. Protests against his statement have erupted around the world, including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran and India. Despite strong protests in the Muslim world, the French president publicly declared that the printing of such cartoons would never stop in France.
