Shafiqul Islam (35) made a bad proposal to his cousin’s wife more than once. The neighboring aunt was not excluded from his bad proposal. Sometimes he showed the temptation of money and made bad proposals.
At one point, Bhabhi did not respond to her call and forcibly raped her neighbor’s 55-year-old aunt. Such accusations were made against Shafiqul Islam.
The defendant Shafiqul is the son of Jumur Uddin Bepari from the village of Bhatira (Dewan) in the Baktarpur junction of Kaliganj upazila of Gazipur. He is married and has a 12-year-old disabled daughter and two sons, 10 and 6. Locally he worked as a bricklayer.
The victim’s son told the reporter that Shafiqul used to make bad proposals to his wife and mother. They also showed the temptation of money by not agreeing with the proposal. Her mother slept alone in the house around 8:30 pm on Friday. At that time his wife was praying in the next room. Then he entered the house and raped his mother.
Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex resident physician Sanjay Dutt said the patient was admitted in the morning with a physical illness. But when discussing the issue of rape at night, it was suggested to seek the cooperation of the police and go to the One Stop Crisis Center for a physical exam.
The officer in charge of the Kaliganj police station, AKM Mizanul Haque, said the case was registered after receiving the complaint in the evening. An attempt is being made to arrest the culprit.
