Kanchenjunga can be seen from Tentulia in Panchagarh, the northernmost district of Bangladesh. However, it can sometimes be seen from Thakurgaon. This time too, the peak is seen from Thakurgaon as there is less dust in the air due to the rain before winter. Kanchenjunga was seen from this district at different times before.
Kanchjangha, one of the highest mountain peaks in the world, is located in the border region of the Indian state of Sikkim and Nepal.
In addition to the Burir embankment in Thakurgaon, locals said that if you look north from the district’s five upazilas, including the city junction, bus stop, art gallery, and Tangon Barrage, you can see Kanchenjunga. This peak is most visible from mid-October to November.

Monwar Hossain from the Tangon Barrage area said that when the sun’s rays began to rise at 8 a.m., Kanchenjunga clearly began to peek out from Thakurgaon. It looks good until 10 in the morning. As time goes by, it gradually becomes blurry. But in the late afternoon, when the sun’s rays fall back on the iceberg, Kanchenjunga is captured as immaculately beautiful.
