A 16-year-old girl became pregnant after being gang-raped in Siddhirganj of Narayanganj. Police arrested five people in the incident.

Earlier in the evening on Thursday (October 29), the victim’s mother filed a lawsuit against five people at the Siddhirganj police station. Five people were arrested in the nightly raid following the case.

Those arrested are Ujjwal Rana (20), son of Ramzan Ali from Pirganj in Thakurgaon, Tazel Islam (18), son of Satarul Hossain from the same upazila, Md. Jalal, 21, son of the late Abdur Rashid Hawlader of Char Fashion Upazila in Bhola, Abdul Aziz Hawlader aka Mintu Hawlader, 55, and his wife Bilkis Hawlader. The defendants are tenants of Humayun Kabir’s house in the Siddhirganj Kadamtali gas pipeline area.

The police officer in charge of Siddhirganj (OC), Kamrul Faruk, said the girl was gang-raped by neighboring tenants six months ago. The teenager was silent for a long time out of fear of embarrassment and accused.

When she was taken to the hospital due to a sudden illness, the doctor reported that she was five months pregnant. Five defendants involved in the incident were arrested when the girl’s mother filed a case for the incident on Thursday night.

In the case brief, the plaintiff mentioned that she had been living with her husband and children as a tenant in the same room until October 26. They moved house on October 27.

On the night of April 24, the teenager was standing next to his room. At that moment, Jalal and Bilkis Hawladar brought the girl to Bilkis’s house to talk.

Later, Ujjwal Rana and Tazel Islam were called into the room and left with the girl. Ujjwal Rana and Tazel closed the door and raped the girl in turn. If the girl becomes ill as a result of gang rape, buy medicine at the Bilkis store and feed the girl. After that, when he recovers, Mintu scares Hawladar, Bilkis, and Jalal Kishori. The teenager did not tell anyone about the gang rape out of shame and fear.
