The criminals have killed three members of the same family in Katiadi of Kishoreganj. Later, they dug a hole in the back of the house and buried them. This shocking and brutal incident took place in Jamsite Tatarkanda, village of Banagram, union of the Upazila.
Police recovered the bodies of three people from the ground with the help of villagers after 10 pm on Thursday.
The dead were said to be from the village of Jamsite Tatarkanda. Asad Mia (55), eliminated his wife. Parveen Akhter (45) and her youngest son Leon (6).
The police have detained 4 people from the house for questioning in this incident.
According to the locals, Md. Asad Mia is the son of the late Mir Hossain from Jamshait village. He was a grocer.
Police say: ‘This is a premeditated murder. They were killed at some point on Wednesday night. All three were killed and buried in a hole in the back of the house.
Police suspect the three may have been killed by other family members over a land dispute.
According to police and villagers, Asad Mia slept at home with his wife Parveen and son Leon on Wednesday night. Tofazzal, the eldest son of the Asad-Parveen couple, lives in Dhaka. Mejo’s son, Mofazzal Hossain (13), was at his grandfather’s house that day. On Thursday morning, Mofazzal came home from his grandfather’s house and could not find his parents or brother. After searching all day, he started crying. At one point he addressed a member of the area. Accompanied by the member, he went to the Katiadi Model Police Station at night and reported to the police.
According to the police, Mofazzal alleged that his father was in dispute with his uncles over the land. His uncle has beaten him at different times due to this dispute. After that, the police became active.
After the night, the police went to the village of Jamsite Tatarkandi. The search begins. At one point, the police found new dirt dug up in the backyard of Assad’s home. Upon seeing the new soil, the police became suspicious and stirred the soil and saw someone’s hand for the first time. The hand belonged to the little Lion. Later, with the help of the locals, the police from the Katiadi police station removed all the dirt from the hole and recovered the bodies of three people one by one.

Police arrested Asad Miah’s brother Deen Islam, Al-Amin’s nephew, Nazma Begum’s sister and Jumela Khan’s mother, on suspicion of being involved in the incident.
